CCTV that earns its keep.

IP cameras specified to deter, identify or evidence — not just to fill a quote. ANPR, AI detection, off-site recording and footage you can actually find when you need it.

What we install

UniFi Protect and Hikvision — the right tool for the job.

For most new installs we recommend UniFi Protect. It runs alongside UniFi Access and the rest of the network on the same gateway, the licensing is sensible (no per-camera fees), the AI on the newer cameras genuinely cuts false alerts, and the app is something a site manager will actually open more than once. For ANPR at gates and yards, Protect’s native plate reader integrates straight into access decisions — one credential, one number plate, one event.

For higher-end commercial work — long-range thermal, specialist analytics, integration with third-party VMS — we install Hikvision and Dahua alongside or in place of Protect. They’ve got the optics and the camera range Protect can’t match yet, and for the right job they’re the right call.

The principle on every install is the same: what is this camera actually for? If you can’t answer that in one sentence, it’s in the wrong place, wrong resolution, or shouldn’t be there at all. Cameras that exist to make the quote look bigger help no-one.

What proper CCTV looks like

The bits other installers skip.

A purpose for every camera

Each camera has a job: deter, identify a face, identify a vehicle, monitor an area, evidence an event. We’ll tell you which before we mount it, and we’ll spec resolution, lens and position around that purpose — not around a brochure spec sheet.

Storage that survives the incident

Local recording on a properly-sized NVR, plus off-site backup of flagged events for sites where it matters. If the recorder gets stolen with the rest of the kit, the footage doesn’t go with it.

ANPR that actually works

For yards, gates and car parks — plate-reader cameras positioned for the angle and lighting they actually face, not the ideal lab conditions. Integrated with access control so a number plate can lift a barrier without anyone having to press a button.

AI detection that cuts the noise

Person, vehicle, package, animal — modern cameras can tell the difference. We tune detection zones so you’re alerted to someone in the yard at 3am, not the next-door cat at 11pm. The goal is alerts you trust, not alerts you ignore.

GDPR-compliant signage and policy

UK CCTV needs proper signage, a documented purpose, and a defensible retention policy. We supply the signs, we document the system, and we make sure the install passes scrutiny if anyone ever asks.

Footage you can find

The point of CCTV isn’t recording — it’s being able to find the right thirty seconds out of a month of video. We set up search by AI tag, by time, by event, and we train you on it. Footage you can’t retrieve is no footage.

Who it’s for

Cameras specified to the building.

Yards & industrial sites

ANPR at the gate, AI person/vehicle detection on the perimeter, thermal where lighting fails. Insurance-grade footage.

Warehouses & logistics

Loading bay coverage, internal aisles, stock-loss investigation. Integrated with access so an event ties back to a credential.

Retail & hospitality

Customer flow, theft deterrent, staff-side incidents. Footage retrieval that doesn’t need a technician on the phone.

Domestic & gates

Driveway ANPR, perimeter detection, video door entry tied in. Done to commercial-grade standards, not consumer-kit shortcuts.

Common questions

What people ask before they sign.

How much does a commercial CCTV system cost?

It scales with camera count, recording requirement, and whether you need ANPR or AI on top. A small four-camera office system on existing cabling is a different conversation from a sixteen-camera yard with plate readers and off-site recording. We don’t publish rates because honest pricing comes after a survey — but we’ll always tell you the realistic range before you commit to a full quote.

Will it work without an internet connection?

Yes — the recording itself happens locally. Cloud is for remote viewing, app alerts, and off-site backup. If your connection drops, cameras keep recording to the NVR. You just can’t check the live feed on your phone until it’s back.

Can I view it on my phone?

Yes. Every system we install has a mobile app for live view, recorded playback and alerts. We set up your accounts, lock down access by user, and train you on the search tools before we leave site.

What about GDPR and the rules around recording?

For domestic, it’s straightforward as long as cameras only cover your property. For commercial, the ICO has clear guidance on signage, purpose, retention and subject access requests. We handle the documentation as part of the install — signs, system description, retention schedule. You shouldn’t have to read the ICO website.

Can you replace cameras on an existing recorder?

Often, yes — if the recorder’s sound and the cabling’s up to scratch. We’ll survey first to make sure we’re not putting 4K cameras into a recorder that can’t handle them, or coax cable that throttles them to half resolution.

Do you offer monitoring or alarm response?

We don’t run a monitoring station, but we integrate with the ones that do. If you want professional response — verified alarm to police, key holder dispatch, third-party verification — we’ll specify the system to feed an approved monitoring partner and handle the handover.
